How A Gaze Can Transform You

One of the most powerful passages in Scripture is 2 Corinthians 3:18 which reads: “And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another” (ESV). The idea is that as we gaze on Christ, God transforms us into Christ’s image. We will learn to practice this in today’s post; give yourself at least two minutes to do this. Absorb. We die to self, sacrifice for others and love our enemies so that we can display God’s goodness to all. Our reward is a Continue Reading →

The passage is: Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. No longer will there be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will serve him. They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. There will be no more night. They will not need the light of a lamp Continue Reading →

God Delights In You – Weekly Words Of Encouragement

His pleasure is not in the strength of the horse, nor his delight in the legs of the warrior;the LORD delights in those who fear him,who put their hope in his unfailing love Psalms 147:10-11 (NIV) It is tempting to value what the world values. Nations and individuals pursue power – military, political, economic, cultural – and rejoice when their power grows. But Yahweh rejoices in something completely different; something that is available to everyone no matter how powerless they are. Yahweh rejoices in us if we fear him, revere and respect him. He rejoices when our hope is in his love for us, that he will ultimately bless us and dwell with us forever. Therefore, we do not need to despair about our circumstances, that we do not have the resources we would like to have. Our circumstances and lack of resources may be painful, but consider the infinite treasure Continue Reading →
